Data-driven prediction of battery failure for electric vehicles

Summary: Despite progress in battery safety modeling, accurately predicting the evolution of multiphysics systems remains challenging. In this study, machine learning techniques were developed to predict and classify the health condition of batteries based on recorded data uploaded to the cloud. The best machine learning models achieved high classification accuracy and low misclassification test error. These findings emphasize the need for cloud-based artificial intelligence technology to accurately predict battery failure in real-world applications.
