Screening and Identification of Trichoderma Strains isolated from Natural Habitats in China with Potential Agricultural Applications

Ming Xue et al.

Summary: Trichoderma spp. strains were isolated from natural habitats in China, with 49 strains showing good inhibitory effects, particularly against major plant pathogens like Botrytis cinerea, Fusarium oxysporum, and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. Among these, 13 strains exhibited broad-spectrum inhibitory effects and promoted seed germination and root growth of various crops, suggesting their potential as biocontrol agents in agriculture.
