Developing and validating an authentic contextual learning framework: promoting healthy learning through learning by applying

Wu-Yuin Hwang et al.

Summary: The study develops and validates an authentic contextual learning framework with six constructs to model the relationships among essential factors of authentic contextual learning. The findings suggest that learning by applying enhances learners' creativity, motivation, health, and interest in authentic contexts.

Systematic survey of anything-to-text recognition and constructing its framework in language learning

Wu-Yuin Hwang et al.

Summary: This study reviews articles related to anything-to-text recognition in language learning from 2011 to 2020 and proposes an anything-to-text recognition framework. The findings show that the majority of the articles focus on English language learning and involve university students. Speech-to-text recognition and image-to-text recognition are commonly used to support speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, while body movement-to-text, emotion-to-text, and location-to-text recognition technologies are less commonly used.
