Homology modeling, docking, molecular dynamics and in vitro studies to identify Rhipicephalus microplus acetylcholinesterase inhibitors

Amanda Ponce Morais Cerqueira et al.

Summary: The study used homology modeling to predict the structure of R. microplus AChE1 (RmAChE1) and molecular docking to analyze the anticholinesterase activity of flavonoids and a synthetic acaricide. The results showed that the flavonoid quercetin exhibited promising anti-tick activity in terms of AChE inhibition and larval mortality.

Design, Synthesis, Molecular Docking, Molecular Dynamics and In Vivo Antimalarial Activity of New Dipeptide-Sulfonamides

James A. Ezugwu et al.

Summary: A new series of novel dipeptide sulfonamide analogues were designed and synthesized, and their in vitro and in vivo antimalarial activities were studied. The results showed significant antimalarial activity of these compounds. The in silico studies predicted high binding affinity of these compounds with the target proteins. The synthesized compounds exhibited drug-like properties, and their ADMET properties were within acceptable limits. Molecular dynamics simulation of the most active compound validated the stability of the protein-ligand complex and protein-ligand interactions.

Novel Hybrid 1,2,4-and 1,2,3-Triazoles Targeting Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Enoyl Acyl Carrier Protein Reductase (InhA): Design, Synthesis, and Molecular Docking

Maged A. El Sawy et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of a new class of 1,2,3- and 1,2,4-triazole hybrid compounds. The compounds are tested in vitro against the InhA enzyme and the inhibitors 7c and 7e show the most promising activity. Molecular docking is also conducted to analyze the binding of the compounds with the target InhA enzyme.

Design, synthesis, in vitro α-glucosidase inhibition, docking, and molecular dynamics of new phthalimide-benzenesulfonamide hybrids for targeting type 2 diabetes

Mohammad Askarzadeh et al.

Summary: A series of novel phthalimide-benzenesulfonamide derivatives were synthesized and their inhibitory activity against yeast alpha-glucosidase was evaluated. Most of the compounds showed significant inhibitory activity, with 4-phenylpiperazin derivative exhibiting the strongest inhibition. In silico studies confirmed the interaction between the compounds and the active site of alpha-glucosidase, and predicted good druglikeness, ADME, and toxicity profiles for compound 4m.
