This paper highlights the importance of prior systemic knowledge in correctly interpreting data and developing a better understanding of emerging behavioral patterns for effective decision-making. The lessons learned from the COVID-19 case can also be applied to anticipate the destructive dynamics of Climate Change and take timely actions to achieve the SDGs and mitigate risks.
