Social anhedonia in Malaysian schizophrenia patients and healthy participants

Kohini Balasingam et al.

Summary: The goal of this study was to validate a Malay translation of the Anticipatory and Consummatory Interpersonal Pleasure Scale (ACIPS) and evaluate its validity in a cross-cultural context. The results showed that the Malay version of ACIPS had good internal consistency and was correlated with depressive symptoms and interpersonal pleasure. The ACIPS scores were significantly lower in schizophrenia patients compared to healthy individuals.

Summary: The study aimed to validate the Korean version of the ACIPS among non-help-seeking individuals. The results showed that the ACIPS had good internal consistency and the Korean translation exhibited a three-factor structure including interactions involving close relationships, casual interactions, and interactions involving family members. Total ACIPS scores were positively associated with total BAS and BIS scores, while inversely associated with BDI scores.

Social cognition and empathy in adults with obsessive compulsive disorder: A meta-analysis
