Preparation of Low-k Poly(dicyclopentadiene) nanocomposites with excellent comprehensive properties by adding larger POSS

Jian Wang et al.

Summary: This study introduces different-sized polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) into poly(dicyclopentadiene) (PDCPD) to prepare high-performance low-k nanocomposites. It is found that the k value of PDCPD can be decreased by increasing the content of larger POSSs and altering the POSS size. Meanwhile, the comprehensive properties of PDCPD can be enhanced. These nanocomposites show promise as useful materials for future microelectronic industry.
