Defect-rich Fe-doped Co3O4 derived from bimetallic-organic framework as an enhanced electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction

Kyeongseok Min et al.

Summary: Oxygen-deficient Fe-doped Co3O4 polyhedral nanoparticles were successfully synthesized for efficient electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction through a self-templating strategy. The defect-rich nanoparticles demonstrated superior OER performance, with low overpotential, Tafel slope, and excellent long-term durability in alkaline conditions. This approach provides a new direction for designing advanced non-noble catalysts for energy storage and conversion applications.

A Practice of Reticular Chemistry: Construction of a Robust Mesoporous Palladium Metal-Organic Framework via Metal Metathesis

Tao He et al.

Summary: By utilizing deuterated solvent-assisted metal metathesis, a stable azolate Pd-MOF named BUT-33(Pd) was successfully synthesized, showing excellent chemical stability and good performance as a Pd(II) catalyst in various applications such as Suzuki/Heck coupling reactions and photocatalytic CO2 reduction to CH4. This work demonstrates a feasible approach for constructing noble metal based MOFs with high chemical stability and versatile functions through metal metathesis.
