Tunable Large-Scale Compressive Strain Sensor Based on Carbon Nanotube/Polydimethylsiloxane Foam Composites by Additive Manufacturing

Summary: In this study, a natural deep eutectic solvent (NDES) was prepared using glycerin and organic choline chloride, and a starch/NDES ionic gel was synthesized through in situ free radical polymerization with starch as the reinforcement. The starch/NDES ionic gel exhibited excellent mechanical properties, self-recovery performance, thermal stability, frost resistance, and conductivity. It also showed potential as a strain sensor for monitoring grasping motion. This research provides a new green method for designing electronic products such as electronic skin.
