Solidified floating organic drop microextraction (SFODME) for the simultaneous analysis of three non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in aqueous samples by HPLC

Lanna K. Silva et al.

Summary: In this study, a liquid-liquid microextraction method using SFODME was combined with liquid chromatography and UV/Vis detection to determine three NSAIDs in water samples. The optimized method showed low detection limits, satisfactory recovery rates, and successful application in water samples with different characteristics. SFODME demonstrated simplicity, low cost, speed, and high concentration capacity of the analytes.

Multiple objective optimization of air assisted liquid-liquid microextraction combined with solidified floating organic drop microextraction for simultaneous determination of trace copper and nickel

Fereshteh Islami-Bonab et al.

Summary: The rising levels of various heavy metals in the environment pose great concerns due to their serious health effects on both humans and wildlife. An effective and green chemistry procedure known as AALLME-SFOD was utilized for simultaneous extraction of ultra-trace copper and nickel ions in natural waters. This technique proved to be highly effective for pre-concentration of Cu(II) and Ni(II) from aqueous media and allowed for quantitation using GFAAS under optimum conditions.
