Multiplexed and simultaneous biosensing in a 3D-printed portable six-well smartphone operated electrochemiluminescence standalone point-of-care platform

Summary: In this study, a six-well 3D-printed closed bipolar electrochemiluminescence (3DP-CBPE-ECL) device was successfully fabricated and validated for single-step detection of biochemicals like glucose and choline. A smartphone was used to power the device, capture images, and calculate the intensity of the obtained signal. The feasibility of the device was tested by simultaneous detection of glucose and choline in different concentrations in real blood serum, showing promising results.

Upconverting nanoparticles based nanodevice for DNAzymes amplified miRNAs detection and artificially controlled chemo-gene therapy

The device showed high sensitivity in miRNA-21 detection and allowed in situ diagnoses of miRNA-21 expression in living cells. Additionally, the integration of UCNPs with photocleavable linkers (PC-linkers) enabled artificially controlled chemo-gene synergetic therapy. The prepared nanodevice demonstrated potential application in cancer theranostics through in vitro and in vivo experiments.
