The significance of using date palm surface fiber as a biosorbent for removing pollutants from wastewater is evaluated. This material is inexpensive, renewable, eco-friendly, and available in large quantities worldwide, making it advantageous over other natural adsorbing materials. It has been widely used for removing various pollutants and shows promising future prospects in other applications as well.

In addition to its use as an effective biosorbent to remove pollutants from wastewater, date palm surface fiber exhibits wide future perspectives in several other applications.
