Endophytic strains of Trichoderma increase plants' photosynthetic capability

G. E. Harman et al.

Summary: Two major challenges facing the world can be partially addressed through changes in agricultural practices, including producing enough food for a growing population in adverse climate conditions and reducing greenhouse gases to mitigate global climate change. Improving crop plants' photosynthetic efficiency can help meet these challenges by increasing yields and reducing environmental impact, promoting sustainable development.

Signaling Toward Reactive Oxygen Species-Scavenging Enzymes in Plants

Petr Dvorak et al.

Summary: Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are essential signaling molecules in plant responses to environmental stimuli and development. Antioxidant enzymes play a critical role in scavenging ROS and their regulation is influenced by both environmental conditions and transcriptional activation.

Effect of Individual, Simultaneous and Sequential Inoculation of Pseudomonas fluorescens and Meloidogyne incognita on Growth, Biochemical, Enzymatic and Nonenzymatic Antioxidants of Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.)

Ahmed Noureldeen et al.

Summary: This study found that inoculation of Pseudomonas fluorescens 15 days prior to Meloidogyne incognita (Pf15 -> Mi) can maximally suppress nematode reproduction while increasing plant growth and physiological attributes. All treatments showed an increase in antioxidant enzyme activity, with the treatment Pf15 -> Mi displaying the highest levels of peroxidase and superoxide dismutase activity.
