Ryanodine receptor 1-mediated Ca2+ signaling and mitochondrial reprogramming modulate uterine serous cancer malignant phenotypes

Summary: This study identified the role of ryanodine receptor 1 (RYR1) in uterine serous cancer (USC) progression and demonstrated the efficacy of the repositioned compound dantrolene in treating USC. Inhibition of RYR1 suppressed USC cell proliferation and migration and enhanced apoptosis. The findings provide insight into the mechanism by which RYR1 modulates USC progression and suggest dantrolene as a potential therapeutic agent for improving patient survival.
