An All Servo-Driven Bird-Like Flapping-Wing Aerial Robot Capable of Autonomous Flight

Haifeng Huang et al.

Summary: This article reports the design and control system of an all servo-driven bird-like flapping-wing aerial robot called USTBird. Different from traditional flapping mechanisms, USTBird achieves diverse wingbeat kinematics through servo-driven method, providing enhanced controllability and agile aerobatic maneuverability. The robot considers the flapping gait optimization problem and demonstrates good performance in an outdoor flight task.

Adaptive Neural Network Control of a Flexible Spacecraft Subject to Input Nonlinearity and Asymmetric Output Constraint

Yu Liu et al.

Summary: This article focuses on the vibration reducing and angle tracking problems of a flexible unmanned spacecraft system subject to input nonlinearity, asymmetric output constraint, and system parameter uncertainties. A boundary control scheme is designed using the backstepping technique, with a modified asymmetric barrier Lyapunov function to ensure the output constraint is never transgressed. Neural networks are used to handle system parameter uncertainties and compensate for input nonlinearity, proving the stability of the closed-loop system based on Lyapunov analysis.

A Framework for Distributed Semi-supervised Learning Using Single-layer Feedforward Networks

Jin Xie et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a framework for MR-based DSSL using SLFNN, deriving algorithms to solve the problem of labeled and unlabeled data distributed over a communication network. The DSSL-SLFNN framework allows nodes to exchange only local coefficients with neighbors, ensuring privacy preservation in a fully distributed manner. Several simulations demonstrate the efficiency of the framework and algorithms derived in the study.

Human-in-the-Loop Control of a Wearable Lower Limb Exoskeleton for Stable Dynamic Walking

Zhijun Li et al.

Summary: This article proposes a novel human-in-the-loop control framework for a fully actuated lower limb exoskeleton, allowing users to walk without external stabilization tools. The control strategy is designed to imitate the natural lower limb motion of users through barrier energy function and regional functions. The proposed strategy controls the exoskeleton to follow appropriate ergonomic trajectories using an adaptive controller considering human effort and robot capabilities.

Modeling and adaptive control for a spatial flexible spacecraft with unknown actuator failures

Zhijie Liu et al.

Summary: This paper addresses the simultaneous control of a flexible spacecraft's attitude and vibrations in a three-dimensional space under input disturbances and unknown actuator failures. The system dynamics is modeled as an infinite-dimensional system using Hamilton's principle, and a novel adaptive fault-tolerant control strategy is developed to suppress vibrations during attitude stabilization. A Lyapunov-based stability analysis is conducted to determine whether system energies, angular velocities, and transverse deflections remain bounded and decay to zero with an infinite number of actuator failures. Extensive numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate the performance of the proposed adaptive control strategy.
