Modified Genetic Algorithm with Deep Learning for Fraud Transactions of Ethereum Smart Contract

Summary: Recently, fraudulent practices such as phishing, bribery, and money laundering have become significant challenges to trade security as online trade expands. In this study, a deep learning model was developed using a unique metaheuristic optimization strategy, Optimized Genetic Algorithm-Cuckoo Search (GA-CS), to reliably detect fraudulent transactions. The suggested technique and support vector classification (SVC) models demonstrated the highest accuracy and efficiency in detecting fraudulent behavior on Ethereum.

Pelican Optimization Algorithm: A Novel Nature-Inspired Algorithm for Engineering Applications

Summary: This paper introduces a new stochastic nature-inspired optimization algorithm called Pelican Optimization Algorithm (POA) to solve optimization problems in various scientific disciplines. By simulating the natural behavior of pelicans during hunting, the POA demonstrates high performance in approaching optimal solutions for unimodal functions and exploring the main optimal area for multimodal functions. Comparison with eight well-known metaheuristic algorithms confirms the competitiveness of POA in providing optimal solutions for optimization problems.

Ebola Optimization Search Algorithm: A New Nature-Inspired Metaheuristic Optimization Algorithm

Summary: This study proposes a novel bio-inspired and population-based optimization algorithm named Ebola Optimization Search Algorithm (EOSA) based on the propagation mechanism of the Ebola virus disease. The algorithm outperforms popular metaheuristic algorithms such as Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm (PSO), Genetic Algorithm (GA), and Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm (ABC) in terms of scalability, convergence, and sensitivity analyses. The algorithm is also successfully applied to the problem of selecting the best combination of convolutional neural network (CNN) hyperparameters in the image classification of digital mammography.

Combined economic emission dispatch on dynamic systems using hybrid CSA-JAYA Algorithm

Solar photo voltaic module parameter extraction using a novel Hybrid Chimp-Sine Cosine Algorithm

Summary: With the increasing need for efficient energy conversion devices, there is a growing interest in deriving accurate equivalent circuits for solar photovoltaic (PV) modules. PV panel manufacturers provide critical data on the current-voltage (I-V) characteristics for standard temperature conditions. However, when it comes to different environmental/operational conditions, deriving equivalent mathematical models for PV modules becomes complex. This study proposes a novel hybrid meta-heuristic algorithm, called HCSCA, for extracting PV panel equivalent circuit parameters, which shows promising results for different types of PV modules.

Development and Applications of Augmented Whale Optimization Algorithm

Summary: Metaheuristics, including bio-inspired ones, have been widely used to solve complex optimization problems. In this paper, a variant of the popular Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) called the Augmented Whale Optimization Algorithm (AWOA) is proposed. The AWOA incorporates opposition-based learning and Cauchy mutation operator to improve the exploration and exploitation capabilities of WOA. Experimental results and analyses demonstrate that the proposed AWOA outperforms the original WOA and achieves better optimization performance for both benchmark functions and real-world problems.
