K. N. Sneha et al.

Summary: The current work investigates the flow of incline MHD and Casson fluid with a mixed convective boundary layer using a hybrid nanofluid Cu-Al2O3/water over a stretching/shrinking sheet. The study analyzes the characteristics of an Al2O3-Cu/H2O hybrid nanofluid on the stretching/shrinking sheet through numerical methods. The effects of various parameters on the flow are analyzed using graphical representations. The research shows that the hybrid nanofluid enhances the heat transfer process and has extensive industrial applications.

MHD mixed convection flow of a hybrid nanofluid past a permeable vertical flat plate with thermal radiation effect

Nur Syahirah Wahid et al.

Summary: This study investigates the MHD radiative flow of a hybrid alumina-copper/water nanofluid past a permeable vertical plate with mixed convection. By utilizing numerical solutions and graphical illustrations, it is found that reducing the concentration volume of copper and increasing the magnetic and radiation parameters can hinder boundary layer separation and enhance heat transfer.

Effects of Magnetic Fields, Coupled Stefan Blowing and Thermodiffusion on Ferrofluid Transport Phenomena

Rohana Abdul Hamid et al.

Summary: This article conducts a numerical study on the boundary layer flow of ferrofluid, including Stefan blowing, velocity and thermal slip, and Soret effects in the stagnation region over a stretching/shrinking surface. The governing equations were solved using the bvp4c function in MATLAB. The results show that a stronger magnetic field is required to identify the numerical solutions past the shrinking surface, and the Stefan blowing reduces the availability of solutions. Stability analysis confirms that only one solution is reliable and stable for certain values of the shrinking parameter.

MHD micropolar hybrid nanofluid flow over a flat surface subject to mixed convection and thermal radiation

Showkat Ahmad Lone et al.

Summary: Hybrid nanofluids, composed of alumina and silver nanoparticles in water, play a significant role in improving the thermal characteristics of pure fluids. This study investigated the mixed convective MHD micropolar hybrid nanofluid flow past a flat surface placed in a permeable medium with suction and injection effects. The results showed that fluid motion increases with the growth in magnetic field effects and mixed convection parameter, but decreases with higher values of micropolar factor. The thermal flow behavior is enhanced for higher values of magnetic effects, radiation factor, Eckert number, and strength of heat source.

Summary: This study investigates the heat transfer performance of Al2O3-Cu/H2O in the magnetohydrodynamics stagnation point flow towards an exponentially stretching/shrinking surface with consideration of viscous dissipation effect. The findings reveal that the addition of nanoparticles increases the coefficient of skin friction and the local Nusselt number, while the viscous dissipation effect causes an increase in the thermal state of the fluid.

Analysis of MHD mixed convection in a Ag-TiO2 hybrid nanofluid flow past a slender cylinder

P. M. Patil et al.

Summary: The study investigates the concept of MHD mixed convection with Ag-TiO2 / H2O hybrid nanofluid flow over a slender cylinder and its applications in science and engineering. By applying a uniform magnetic field to analyze the impact on transport characteristics of the flow, the behavior of thermal efficiency is studied considering different nanoparticles shape factor. The simulation demonstrates that inclusion of hybrid nanoparticles in the base fluid results in higher heat transfer and the velocity of the hybrid nanofluid is enhanced with increasing values of mixed convection parameter and velocity ratio parameter.

Mixed convection hybrid nanofluid flow over an exponentially accelerating surface in a porous media

Anuar Jamaludin et al.

Summary: This work presents a theoretical model for mixed convection boundary layer flow and heat transfer in a hybrid nanofluid past an exponentially stretching/shrinking sheet. By modifying and solving the governing equations, two different solutions were obtained, with the study showing the influence of porosity parameter and nanoparticle volume fraction on the existence range of dual solutions. The heat transfer performance of hybrid nanofluid was found to be superior to ordinary nanofluid, making the proposed model significant in extrusion processes.
