Optimization of Fe@Ag core-shell nanowires with improved impedance matching and microwave absorption properties

Ping-An Yang et al.

Summary: Fe@Ag core-shell nanowires with enhanced electromagnetic wave absorption were successfully synthesized, with different Ag shell thickness controlled by changing Fe to Ag molar ratio to improve impedance matching and attenuation constants. The Fe@Ag core-shell nanowires show promising high-efficiency microwave absorbing capabilities due to the complementary effect of the Fe-Ag interface polarization, impedance matching improvement, and small-scale effect caused by the one-dimensional structure.

Facile transfer of excited electrons in Au/SnS2 nanosheets for efficient solar-driven selective organic transformations

Sanjit Mondal et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the use of SnS2 nanosheets for the oxidative coupling of various benzylamine derivatives to imines, achieving high activity and excellent selectivity and conversion rates when decorated with gold nanoparticles. The enhancement in activity upon gold loading is attributed to the altered photo-induced charge accumulation behavior in Au/SnS2, leading to facilitated transfer of excited electrons.

Adsorption of CO, H2S and CH4 molecules on SnS2 monolayer: a first-principles study

Long Lin et al.

Summary: This study investigated the adsorptive properties of SnS2 monolayer and SnS2 monolayer with S-vacancy for CO, H2S and CH4 molecules using first-principles method. Results indicate that the SnS2 monolayer with S-vacancy is more sensitive to these gases, particularly showing strong adsorption energy for H2S. This provides a new design idea for gas sensors based on SnS2.

Adsorption of SF6 Decomposition Products by the S Vacancy Structure and Edge Structure of SnS2: A Density Functional Theory Study

Jincong Wang et al.

Summary: Investigated the adsorption properties of SnS2-S-v and SnS2-edge for SF6 decomposition products, showing that SnS2-S-v has the highest adsorption energy for SO2 with strong chemical interactions, while H2S has the largest adsorption energy on the 50% S edge structure of SnS2-edge. Although the adsorption capacity of SnS2-edge for gases is lower than SnS2-S-v, it is still higher than pristine SnS2.

Adsorption properties of Ag2O-MoSe2 towards SF6 decomposed products

Hong Liu et al.

Summary: The study found that Ag2O-MoSe2 has a higher adsorption capacity for SF6 characteristic decomposition products in the order of H2S>SO2>SO2F2>SOF2. H2S and SO2 adsorption is chemisorption, while SOF2 and SO2F2 adsorption is physisorption. H2S is difficult to desorb after adsorption, whereas SO2 has a shorter desorption time, improving detection efficiency.
