Modern Template Design and Biological Evaluation of Cephradine-loaded Magnesium Calcium Silicate Nanocomposites as an Inhibitor for Nosocomial Bacteria in Biomedical Applications

Amany M. El Nahrawy et al.

Summary: Magnesium calcium silicate nanostructures loaded with Cephradine drug particles were successfully prepared by sol-gel method and exhibited strong bactericidal effects against tested bacterial strains, especially E.coli. The increase in Velosef concentration in the nanostructure led to a decrease in optical bandgap. The results suggest that nanostructures loaded with 1.2 wt% Cephradine could serve as a powerful bactericidal agent for eliminating nosocomial pathogens, with potential applications in biomedical and pharmaceutical fields.
