Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi species improve the fatty acids profile and nutrients status of soybean cultivars grown under drought stress

Zahra Ezzati Lotfabadi et al.

Summary: The study investigated the effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) species on mineral nutrient absorption and distribution in soybean cultivars under drought stress. It found that AMF colonization can improve nutrient uptake, fatty acid composition, resource utilization efficiency, and yield stability in plants grown under drought conditions. The study suggests the use of AMF colonization as a strategy to alleviate the adverse effects of drought stress on crop production.

A study of trilemma energy balance, clean energy transitions, and economic expansion in the midst of environmental sustainability: New insights from three trilemma leadership

Irfan Khan et al.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of trilemma energy balance and clean energy transitions on economic expansion and environmental sustainability, while considering the role of clean energy and natural resource rents in the trilemma leaders. The findings suggest that trilemma energy balance, clean energy transitions, and natural resource depletion have a positive impact on economic growth, while clean energy discourages this growth. Additionally, trilemma energy balance, clean energy transitions, and clean energy improve environmental sustainability, while natural resource depletion deteriorates it.

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi and Dry Raw Garlic Stalk Amendment Alleviate Continuous Monocropping Growth and Photosynthetic Declines in Eggplant by Bolstering Its Antioxidant System and Accumulation of Osmolytes and Secondary Metabolites

Muhammad Imran Ghani et al.

Summary: Vegetable production under plastic sheds poses a threat to regional eco-sustainability. Continuous cropping stress leads to diminished plant growth. This study found that using arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and dry raw garlic stalk amendment improved the growth and yield of eggplant, as well as enhanced its antioxidant defense system.

Leaf Eco-Physiological Profile and Berries Technological Traits on Potted Vitis vinifera L. cv Pinot Noir Subordinated to Zeolite Treatments under Drought Stress

Eleonora Cataldo et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of zeolite treatments on the ecophysiology and berry metabolism of grapes under different water regimes. The results showed that zeolite applications could enhance photosynthesis and stomatal conductance, improve berry skin metabolism, and increase the resistance of grapes to low water availability during the season, while maintaining good hydraulic conductivity.

Bioactive Potential of Several Actinobacteria Isolated from Microbiologically Barely Explored Desert Habitat, Saudi Arabia

Mohammed S. Almuhayawi et al.

Summary: Bioactive natural products, particularly from actinomycetes, have been explored for their potential therapeutic uses. This study focused on the phytochemical content and biological activities of actinobacteria isolates from Al-Jouf Desert, Saudi Arabia. These isolates showed promising antioxidant and anticancer activities, with some extracts inhibiting leukemia cell growth by reducing cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase activities. Further research on active molecules from these strains may lead to the development of new drugs against human diseases such as blood cancer.
