Genetic Perturbation of the Starch Biosynthesis in Maize Endosperm Reveals Sugar-Responsive Gene Networks

Christina Finegan et al.

Summary: In this study, maize mutants were used to investigate the key genes and regulatory mechanisms involved in endosperm starch biosynthesis. By performing differential expression and coexpression network analysis, potential regulators of starch mutations were identified. The results also shed light on the mechanisms of certain genes and their roles in starch biosynthesis and grain filling.
