In Vitro Evaluation of the Anti-Diabetic Potential of Aqueous Acetone Helichrysum petiolare Extract (AAHPE) with Molecular Docking Relevance in Diabetes Mellitus

Kolajo Adedamola Akinyede et al.

Summary: This study investigates the potential of aqueous acetone Helichrysum petiolare and B.L Burtt extract (AAHPE) as anti-diabetic inhibitors in vitro, and performs molecular docking of the identified flavonoid constituents. The results show that AAHPE has potential as both alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase inhibitors, which is important in drug discovery and development.

Acute and subacute toxicity assessment of liquid CO2 extract of Phaleria macrocarpa fruits flesh in mice model

Md Abdur Rashid Mia et al.

Summary: This study investigated the acute and sub-acute toxicities of liquid carbon dioxide extract from ripe fruit flesh of Phaleria macrocarpa in mice. Acute toxicity test showed no severe effects with an LD50 value over 3000 mg/kg bw. Sub-acute toxicity evaluation revealed that doses of 250 and 500 mg/kg bw had no significant detrimental impact, while doses of 1000 and 2000 mg/kg bw demonstrated toxicity to various organs.
