Tailoring of ternary nanocomposite films of poly(vinyl alcohol)/ AgAlO2@reduced graphene oxide: An active material for flexible supercapacitors

Summary: Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/silver aluminium oxide (AgAlO2)@reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanocomposites (NCs) were fabricated as flexible supercapacitor electrodes using a solution casting approach. The NCs exhibited excellent electrochemical performance, wide operating potential windows, high specific capacitance, energy density, and power density, as well as negligible equivalent series resistance and charge transfer resistance. The addition of AgAlO2 NPs in the NCs showed better specific capacitance, providing a new approach for fabricating supercapacitor electrodes.

In situ growth of laser-induced graphene micro-patterns on arbitrary substrates

Summary: In this article, we present a new laser processing method that combines in situ graphitization of polyimide with simultaneous transfer of graphene patterns onto various substrates. The synthesis conditions are similar to those of the well-known laser-induced graphene method. This approach involves enclosing polyimide sheets between microscope glass slides and has successfully generated graphene patterns on glass and PDMS substrates, as well as graphene decorated with metals and oxides. To illustrate its usefulness, this method was applied to the fabrication of hybrid supercapacitors which exhibited excellent electrochemical performance.

Hydrogen gas sensing properties of microwave-assisted 2D Hybrid Pd/rGO: Effect of temperature, humidity and UV illumination

In-situ preparation of Fe3O4/graphene nanocomposites and their electrochemical performances for supercapacitor

Summary: Fe3O4 nanoparticles with high specific capacitance were successfully prepared by optimizing the preparation conditions, and then combined with graphene to form Fe3O4/graphene nanocomposites. During the preparation process, Fe3+ ions combined with O-containing functional groups on the surface of graphene oxide to form Fe3O4 nanoparticles, while graphene oxide was in-situ reduced to graphene, preventing aggregation of Fe3O4 and stacking of graphene effectively. The optimal Fe3O4/graphene nanocomposites (BF(24)G(60)) exhibited excellent cycle stability (93% after 500 cycles) and high specific capacitance (300 F/g at 0.4 A/g), outperforming single graphene and Fe3O4 nanoparticles.
