Human Papillomavirus Vaccination and Premature Ovarian Failure: A Disproportionality Analysis Using the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System

Collins Tatang et al.

Summary: This study identified a potential safety signal of premature ovarian failure associated with HPV vaccination using VAERS database. The number of reported POF events significantly increased following the launch of the first HPV vaccine in 2006.

The effect of human papilloma virus vaccination on embryo yield and clinicalin vitrofertilisation outcomes: a matched retrospective cohort study

Mustafa Demir et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of HPV vaccination on embryo yield and pregnancy outcomes in IVF cycles with fresh embryo transfer. The results showed that HPV vaccination did not have a negative impact on embryo yielding rates, oocyte counts, fertilisation rates, and pregnancy outcomes. Therefore, HPV vaccines can be safely used for primary prevention against cervical cancer in IVF treatments.

Serum Anti-Mullerian Hormone Levels and Risk of Premature Ovarian Insufficiency in Female Childhood Cancer Survivors: Systematic Review and Network Meta-Analysis

Marco Torella et al.

Summary: Innovations in childhood cancer treatment have increased survival rates, but female childhood cancer survivors are at risk for late reproductive aftereffects. AMH is used for ovarian reserve screening in reproductive medicine, but is not the gold standard. This study found that female neuroblastoma survivors have higher risk for reduced AMH levels and POI.

Hormone therapy regimens for managing the menopause and premature ovarian insufficiency

Eleni Armeni et al.

Summary: The transition to menopause is associated with changing hormonal levels which can lead to bothersome symptoms in the short-term and chronic health problems in the long-term. Hormone replacement therapy can help restore hormone levels and prevent chronic diseases. It is important to individualize management to maximize efficacy and minimize risks.

Association Between Human Papillomavirus Vaccination and Primary Ovarian Insufficiency in a Nationwide Cohort

Anders Hviid et al.

Summary: This cohort study found no association between HPV vaccination and primary ovarian insufficiency. While the risk of primary ovarian insufficiency did not significantly increase after vaccination, the possibility of a clinically relevant increase in diagnosis rate cannot be ruled out due to the rarity of the outcome in this study.

Fresh insight into premature ovarian insufficiency

Paula Karska et al.

Summary: Premature ovarian insufficiency is a major cause of anovulatory infertility in women under 40, with challenges in diagnosis and causative factors, but promising opportunities through serum biomarkers and environmental toxicants research. The main focus of therapy is maintaining fertility, with newer approaches like stem cells and in-vitro activation gaining importance.
