Salicylic Acid-Mediated Regulation of Morpho-Physiological and Yield Attributes of Wheat and Barley Plants in Deferring Salinity Stress

Hadi Pirasteh-Anosheh et al.

Summary: The study found that salinity decreased plant yield components and altered ion concentrations, but foliar application of salicylic acid induced plant yield components and improved salt tolerance in wheat and barley plants. Optimum concentrations of salicylic acid significantly increased grain and biological yield in both non-saline and saline conditions.

Salinity Stress in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) in the Changing Climate: Adaptation and Management Strategies

Ayman EL Sabagh et al.

Summary: Salinity stress poses a serious threat to wheat production globally by negatively affecting growth and development, leading to diminished grain yield and quality. Wheat plants utilize various mechanisms to adapt to salinity stress and adaptation strategies have been developed to minimize its deleterious effects and ensure sustainable wheat production.
