Optimizing renewable-based energy supply options for power generation in Ethiopia

Megersa Tesfaye Boke et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the optimal renewable energy mix and investment costs for Ethiopia to achieve upper-middle-income status by 2050. The results suggest that expanding installed power capacity and shifting towards solar and wind energy development are necessary for achieving economic targets. However, investment and financial sourcing remain a challenge.
