Product Development Studies of Cranberry Seed Oil Nanoemulsion

Wael A. Mahdi et al.

Summary: Cranberry seed oil (CSO) nanoemulsions show promise in treating skin diseases, potentially due to their omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids content. The study successfully developed a stable CSO nanoemulsion with high entrapment efficiency and skin permeation, offering a unique delivery method for treating skin conditions.

A Review of the Application of Resorcinarenes and SBA-15 in Drug Delivery

Diana M. Galindres et al.

Summary: This article introduces the research progress on controlled drug delivery using resorcinarenes and SBA-15. Resorcinarenes are macrocycles obtained by condensation reactions of resorcinol and aldehyde, which have solubility and interaction properties with other compounds. SBA-15 is a mesoporous silica characterized by ordered pores and a large surface area. These materials have significant application potential in the field of drug delivery.

Diffusion of Ethanol in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide-Investigation of scCO2-Cosolvent Mixtures Used in Pharmaceutical Applications

Cecilia I. A. Santos et al.

Summary: The study measured the diffusion coefficients of ethanol in supercritical carbon dioxide using the Taylor dispersion technique, finding them to be an order of magnitude higher than in usual liquids. Various correlation models were assessed to estimate the diffusion coefficients, with reasonable results obtained for the Wilke-Chang and Lai-Tan models.

Dependence of Viscosity and Diffusion on β-Cyclodextrin and Chloroquine Diphosphate Interactions

Lenka Musilova et al.

Summary: The study measured mutual diffusion coefficients of chloroquine diphosphate in aqueous solutions with and without beta-cyclodextrin, observing significant changes in diffusion behavior with the presence of beta-CD. The effect of beta-CD on the transport behavior of CDP was further assessed by comparing diffusion coefficients and supported by viscosity analysis, providing a better interpretation of cyclodextrin's impact on CDP transport.
