Mortality patterns align with incidence trends, with lung cancer deaths declining rapidly, breast cancer deaths slowing, and prostate cancer deaths stabilizing.

Tumor-derived extracellular vesicles: The metastatic organotropism drivers

These EVs play vital roles in tumorigenesis, including pre-metastatic niche formation and organotropic metastasis, by altering the tissue microenvironment and inducing phenotypic alterations in cells. EVs have potential therapeutic applications in cancer management as targeted therapy, cell-free therapy, drug delivery system, and diagnostic biomarker.
