Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial of a Throat Spray with Selected Lactobacilli in COVID-19 Outpatients

Summary: Primary care urgently needs effective treatments for COVID-19 patients. This study evaluated the use of a throat spray containing antiviral lactobacilli strains in COVID-19 patients. The results suggest that the spray has the potential to reduce nasopharyngeal viral loads and acute symptoms.
