This review focuses on the synthesis of 4,4'-arylmethylene-bis-1H-pyrazol-5-ols scaffolds, which have gained significant attention due to their diverse applications and the ability to form C-C multiple bonds in a one-step process. Over the past twenty years, more than ninety synthetic methodologies have been developed, driving researchers to study this molecule. This review summarizes the synthesis advancements up to the last quarter of 2022 and includes results from multiple-component reactions conducted in both conventional and unconventional media, providing valuable insights for synthetic organic chemists in this field.
Pyrazole and its derivatives have grown in prominence over the past three decades due to their remarkable therapeutic effects and robust pharmacological potency. This review exclusively focused on synthesis of 4,4'-arylmethylene-bis-1H-pyrazol-5-ols scaffolds owing to their diversified applications along with C-C multiple bond formations in a one step. Last twenty years, more than ninety synthetic methodologies have been developed because of these motifs ' advanced applicability, which prompted researchers to study this molecule. We focused on this synthesis advancement till the last quarter of the year 2022 which summarizes all results of MCRs obtained in conventional and non-conventional media. It will serve as a key role for synthetic organic chemists working in this field.
