High-performance olfactory receptor-derived peptide sensor for trimethylamine detection based on Steglich esterification reaction and native chemical ligation connection

Zhi Wang et al.

Summary: A high-performance TMA sensor was developed using a chemical connection method to effectively load ORPs onto SWCNTs, achieving detection of TMA at concentrations as low as 0.01 parts per trillion, three orders of magnitude lower than previously reported. The sensor demonstrated excellent sensitivity, selectivity, and stability for TMA detection, showing great potential for applications in environmental safety, food quality evaluation, and healthcare.

Visible-light-activated TiO2-NiFe2O4 heterojunction for detecting sub-ppm trimethylamine

Wenhao Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, a TiO2-NiFe2O4 heterojunction was synthesized for trimethylamine (TMA) detection. The sensor exhibited a significant response to TMA at high temperature, and the response was further enhanced under white-light irradiation. The researchers explored the enhanced gas-sensing performance of the sensor using density functional theory. This study improves the gas-sensing ability for TMA detection and has potential applications.
