Shear thickening polishing of the concave surface of high-temperature nickel-based alloy turbine blade

Qi Shao et al.

Summary: This study utilized shearthickening polishing (STP) to efficiently and effectively polish the concave surface of high-temperature nickel-based alloy turbine blades. An optimal polishing angle of 45 degrees and pH value of 6.5 were identified for achieving the best surface quality. Increasing polishing speed gradually improved efficiency, and adding hydrogen peroxide and ferrous sulphate to the polishing slurry enhanced surface quality. The research results provide valuable reference for polishing high-temperature nickel-based alloy turbine blades.
