Submandibular Gland Transplantation vs Minor Salivary Glands Transplantation for Treatment of Dry Eye: A Retrospective Cohort Study

Summary: This study compares the effectiveness of submandibular gland (SMG) transplantation and minor salivary gland (MSG) transplantation for the treatment of dry eye disease. The results show that SMG transplantation is recommended for end-stage refractory dry eye disease, while MSG transplantation provides satisfying results for patients with relatively less severe impairment of the eye.
