Multi-component ZnO alloys: Bandgap engineering, hetero-structures, and optoelectronic devices

Flexible fast responding solar-blind photodetectors based on (TmGa)2O3 films grown on mica

Summary: In this study, amorphous Tm-Ga2O3 films were grown on flexible mica substrates for the development of photodetectors with broadened bandgap and lessened oxygen vacancies. These amorphous films exhibited high performance with low dark current and fast response speed, and maintained good performance after multiple bending cycles. This research sheds light on the potential of flexible devices based on amorphous Tm-Ga2O3 for solar-blind DUV detection.

A self-powered solar-blind photodetector based on polyaniline/α-Ga2O3 p-n heterojunction

Summary: In this work, a self-powered solar-blind photodetector based on a polyaniline/alpha-Ga2O3 hybrid heterojunction was demonstrated, showing high performance characteristics such as peak photoresponsivity and rejection ratio. The device utilizes bandpass transmission and hole spreading transport to suppress visible light responsivity and improve rejection ratio. Weak interface interactions in the organic-inorganic hybrid system avoid interfacial trapping centers and stabilize negatively charged anions, leading to negligible persistent photoconductivity effect.
