Influence of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) in the development of bruxism

Andrea Wallem et al.

Summary: The objective of this study was to explore the relationship between the use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) as pharmacological treatment and the development of bruxism. A systematic literature search identified sufficient evidence to suggest a significant association between SSRI drug treatment and the development of bruxism. However, due to the variability in evaluation and analysis methods, the results should be interpreted with caution.
