Inhibition of lncRNA NEAT1 protects endothelial cells against hypoxia/reoxygenation-induced NLRP3 inflammasome activation by targeting the miR-204/BRCC3 axis

Tao Yao et al.

Summary: In this study, the role of NEAT1 in cardiovascular I/R injury was investigated. It was found that NEAT1 positively regulated BRCC3 expression through competitive binding with miR-204. Inhibition of NEAT1 attenuated H/R-induced cell injury and NLRP3 inflammasome activation-dependent pyroptosis.

Autophagy in ovary and polycystic ovary syndrome: role, dispute and future perspective

Sanjana Kumariya et al.

Summary: PCOS is a prevalent syndrome among women of fertile age, with the ovary being the prime affected organ. Defective autophagy in follicular cells plays a significant role in PCOS pathogenesis. Although few studies have linked autophagy with PCOS progression, detailed knowledge in this area is lacking.

Deep Clustering: On the Link Between Discriminative Models and K-Means

Mohammed Jabi et al.

Summary: In recent deep clustering studies, discriminative models have shown competitive performance and are found to be equivalent to K-means under certain conditions. A new soft and regularized deep K-means algorithm is proposed, connecting state-of-the-art discriminative models directly to K-means and achieving competitive performance on image clustering benchmarks.

LncRNA NEAT1 Promotes Gastric Cancer Progression Through miR-17-5p/TGF beta R2 Axis Up-Regulated Angiogenesis

Yangwei Xu et al.

Summary: NEAT1 is upregulated in most GC samples and is associated with poor prognosis. It promotes GC angiogenesis by competitively sponging miR-17-5p to activate the TGF beta/Smad pathway and upregulate proangiogenic factors like VEGF.

被撤回的出版物: Downregulating lncRNA NEAT1 induces proliferation and represses apoptosis of ovarian granulosa cells in polycystic ovary syndrome via microRNA-381/IGF1 axis (Retracted article. See vol. 29, 2022)

Jingran Zhen et al.

Summary: Researchers investigated the involvement of NEAT1 and miR-381 in PCOS, finding that NEAT1 expression increased while miR-381 expression decreased in granulosa cells of PCOS patients and rats. Interfering with NEAT1 improved hormone levels and reduced ovarian tissue damage in PCOS rats by upregulating miR-381 and reducing IGF1 levels, indicating its potential therapeutic role in PCOS treatment.
