Individualized luteal phase support normalizes live birth rate in women with low progesterone levels on the day of embryo transfer in artificial endometrial preparation cycles

Elena Labarta et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the impact of individualized luteal phase support (iLPS) on live birth rates in patients with low serum progesterone levels compared to those without iLPS. The results showed that the live birth rates of patients receiving iLPS were similar to those with normal serum progesterone levels.

Is there a link between plasma progesterone 1-2 days before frozen embryo transfers (FET) and ART outcomes in frozen blastocyst transfers?

Natalia N. Ramos et al.

Summary: The study aimed to assess the efficacy of combined subcutaneous and vaginal progesterone for priming frozen blastocysts transfers. Results showed that when using combined LPS, progesterone levels were favorable, with favorable outcomes in 99% of cases. Miscarriage rates were significantly lower and IR were higher in the upper two quartiles of serum progesterone on the day before FET.

Individualised luteal phase support in artificially prepared frozen embryo transfer cycles based on serum progesterone levels: a prospective cohort study

Manuel Alvarez et al.

Summary: This study investigated whether individualized luteal phase support based on serum progesterone levels the day before embryo transfer can improve pregnancy outcomes for patients with low progesterone. The results showed that adding daily subcutaneous progesterone injections for patients with low progesterone levels prior to embryo transfer can lead to similar reproductive outcomes as those with adequate progesterone levels.

Serum luteal phase progesterone in women undergoing frozen embryo transfer in assisted conception: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Pedro Melo et al.

Summary: The study found that there is an association between luteal serum progesterone levels and FET outcomes. It suggests that there may be a minimum clinically important luteal serum concentration of progesterone required for optimal endocrine milieu during embryo implantation and early pregnancy after FET treatment. Further clinical trials are needed to assess the impact of administering higher-dose luteal phase support on outcomes in women with low serum progesterone levels at the time of FET.

Serum Progesterone Profile Across the Mid and Late Luteal Phase in Artificial Cycles Is Associated With Pregnancy Outcome

Elena Labarta et al.

Summary: The levels of serum progesterone on days ET+4 and ET+11 are associated with ongoing pregnancy, with higher levels observed in ongoing pregnancies. Serum estradiol levels do not affect pregnancy outcome.
