Impacts of HIV-1 Subtype Diversity on Long-Term Clinical Outcomes in Antiretroviral Therapy in Guangxi, China

He Jiang et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the impact of HIV-1 subtype diversity on antiretroviral therapy (ART) outcomes. Results showed that patients with CRF01_AE and CRF08_BC had poorer immune and virologic responses compared to patients with CRF07_BC. Additionally, patients with CRF08_BC had a higher prevalence of drug resistance mutation. These findings highlight the importance of HIV-1 genotyping, early initiation of ART, and personalized treatment regimens to improve patient prognosis.
