Monte Carlo-Discrete Dislocation Dynamics: a technique for studying the formation and evolution of dislocation structures

Nipal Deka et al.

Summary: A novel Monte Carlo-based solver for discrete dislocation dynamics has been developed, providing insights into the evolution of dislocation structures. The study reveals that the characteristic width of dislocation wall structures is influenced by the interactions within the wall but not the mean dislocation spacing. Algorithmic improvements also offer valuable insights into structure evolution.
