Covert Communication Assisted by UAV-IRS

Chao Wang et al.

Summary: In this paper, a covert communication scheme assisted by UAV-IRS is proposed to maximize the covert transmission rate and defend against adversarial eavesdropping. The ground transmitter secretly sends private messages to a legitimate receiver via the UAV-IRS to prevent detection by an adversary. The scheme optimizes the transmit power, IRS phase shift, and UAV-IRS location to meet covert requirements.

Anqi Meng et al.

Summary: Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-enabled Internet of Things (IoT) system is crucial for future wireless networks due to the flexibility of UAV deployment and the dominance of Line-of-Sight (LoS) channels. This article investigates the 3-D trajectory of the UAV and transmission scheduling of ground devices (GDs) in the UAV-enabled IoT system. The goal is to maximize the minimum expected amount of transmitted data while considering fairness among GDs. An effective iterative algorithm is proposed to solve the optimization problem.

Collaborative Computation Offloading and Resource Allocation in Multi-UAV-Assisted IoT Networks: A Deep Reinforcement Learning Approach

Abegaz Mohammed Seid et al.

Summary: In the fifth-generation (5G) wireless networks, Edge-Internet-of-Things (EIoT) devices are expected to generate large amounts of data. Mobile-edge computing (MEC) is a promising solution for offloading tasks to nearby MEC servers in order to improve service quality. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can also be deployed during emergencies to restore networks and act as computational nodes. This article proposes a model-free deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-based collaborative computation offloading and resource allocation scheme for emergency situations in an aerial to ground (A2G) network. Each agent learns efficient computation offloading policies independently and aims to minimize task execution delay and energy consumption.
