Summary: Conventionally, the electrical power industry is organized as a vertically integrated system, which leads to ineffective and sluggish development. To overcome these deficiencies, the power sector is being restructured worldwide. This paper introduces the concept of Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) as a solution for better and reliable power flow. Summary: In the deregulated energy market environment, small-scale peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading can increase distributed photovoltaic power generation consumption and promote local energy balance. However, it also raises the risk of security constraints violations during the utility grid operation. To address physical network congestion caused by distributed P2P energy trading, a method based on a continuous double auction mechanism is proposed, along with a two-tier market coordination mechanism to utilize user flexibility.

Summary: As energy generation becomes more decentralized, congestion management across grid voltage levels is increasingly necessary. This study proposes using the Shapley value to allocate congestion costs among grid elements, offering fair sharing of costs among operators. Two novel simplification approaches are introduced to reduce computational complexity, resulting in significant reductions in time and resources. These methods have the potential for application in other games with similar properties.

Summary: This study proposes a new solution for ensuring the security of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in large-scale PV integrated smart power networks during congestion management. By allocating Reserve Green Energy Transmission Corridors (RGETCs) with reserved capacity, the aim is to maximize the utilization of PV power. The proposed solution uses Power Transfer Distribution Factor (PTDF) Indices to identify the RGETCs and adopts generation rescheduling via security constraints based optimal power flow to manage congestion. The results show that the proposed solution provides security to the PPAs and offers significant technical and economic benefits.

Summary: This research presents a multi-objective strategy for managing transmission congestion in power networks using distributed generation and optimization techniques. By considering goals such as congestion management, power loss reduction, power flow improvement, and investment expenditure minimization, the reliability of the network can be enhanced. The study uses locational marginal price (LMP) and transmission congestion cost (TCC) to determine the optimal placement of distributed generators (DG), and optimizes their size using particle swarm optimization (PSO) and hybrid swarm optimization (HSO). Additionally, optimal rescheduling of generators is performed to improve network performance.

Summary: This paper proposes a game-theoretic approach to solve network congestion in the Smart Grid. By optimizing the injection power at charging stations, congestion can be mitigated while also satisfying multiple constraints. The proposed approach uses game theory to develop a smart pricing model and mechanism to remove congestion. The unique Nash equilibrium achieved optimally solves the line power congestion management problem and benefits the Electric Vehicles (EVs) the most. The algorithm was tested on a 16-machine 68-bus system and successfully maximizes the gain of the EVs, effectively solving the congestion problem in the Grid.
