Mild encephalopathy with reversible splenial lesion: Description of nine cases and review of the literature

Lina Grosset et al.

Summary: MERS is a transient clinico-radiological syndrome characterized by specific MRI patterns and non-specific encephalopathy, with few reports of adult onset cases. Common features in adult cases include epilepsy and infection backgrounds, frequent focal neurological deficits, and fewer encephalopathies compared to children. The measurement of very low ADC values in SCC lesions is a new radiological feature that can help differentiate MERS from SCC strokes.

Multiple Sclerosis-Minimizing Errors in Radiological Diagnosis

Neha Boski et al.

Summary: Multiple sclerosis can be difficult to differentiate from other diseases with similar clinical and imaging features. Contrast-enhanced MRI using a structured protocol on a high strength scanner, with collaboration between radiologists and clinicians, is effective in minimizing diagnostic errors in MS. The importance of clinical correlation and proper evaluation cannot be overstated in accurately diagnosing multiple sclerosis.
