FBXL6 depletion restrains clear cell renal cell carcinoma progression

Yongchun Yu et al.

Summary: In this study, a survival model based on the F-box gene signature was established to evaluate the prognosis of patients with ccRCC. FBXL6 was identified as a diagnostic and prognostic marker in ccRCC. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that the depletion of FBXL6 inhibited cell proliferation and induced apoptosis in ccRCC cells.

MYBL1 induces transcriptional activation of ANGPT2 to promote tumor angiogenesis and confer sorafenib resistance in human hepatocellular carcinoma

Jinrong Zhu et al.

Summary: MYBL1 upregulation is associated with poor prognosis and increased angiogenesis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). MYBL1 overexpression enhances HCC cell metastasis and resistance to sorafenib treatment by upregulating ANGPT2 expression.

M2 macrophages secrete CXCL13 to promote renal cell carcinoma migration, invasion, and EMT

Yingwei Xie et al.

Summary: This study found that M2 macrophages in clear cell renal cell carcinoma are associated with poor prognosis, potentially promoting tumor proliferation, migration, and invasion through the secretion of chemokine CXCL13.

Neutrophils in cancer carcinogenesis and metastasis

Shumin Xiong et al.

Summary: Research on the roles and mechanisms of neutrophils in cancer has been gaining attention, with controversial findings indicating the dual role of neutrophils in promoting and suppressing cancer. The diversity and plasticity of neutrophils allow them to adapt to different cancer microenvironments.

Immune Microenvironment and Response in Prostate Cancer Using Large Population Cohorts

Xiaohan Ren et al.

Summary: The study explored the immune characteristics of the prostate cancer tumor microenvironment and constructed an IRS signature based on 10 immune terms. Analysis revealed that this signature is a useful tool for predicting prognosis and immunotherapy response rate of prostate cancer. Patients in the high IRS group showed significantly higher immunotherapy response factors, indicating the effectiveness of IRS in predicting immunotherapy response rate.

Identification of MX2 as a Novel Prognostic Biomarker for Sunitinib Resistance in Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma

Yuang Wei et al.

Summary: By analyzing gene expression datasets, pivotal gene MX2 related to sunitinib resistance in clear cell renal cell carcinoma was identified, showing a significant correlation with patient survival. The upregulation of MX2 was found to strongly promote resistance to sunitinib in ccRCC cells, indicating its potential as a therapeutic target for ccRCC patients.
