A Resource-Efficient Pipelined Architecture for Real-Time Semi-Global Stereo Matching

Dynamic programming with adaptive and self-adjusting penalty for real-time accurate stereo matching

Escalating the resolution of an urban aerial image via novel shadow amputation algorithm

Summary: In remote sensing techniques, darkness identification and detection are crucial for producing better images. By carefully considering shadow attributes and deriving suspicious darkness based on image features, we enhance contrast and reject dark artifacts that may be misinterpreted as shadows. The feature engineering is dependent on object size and relative positions. The inside and outside highlight profile line (IOHPL) can be used to remove reflective surfaces from object categories. Analyzing the percentage light diagnostic specifications between shadow and non-shadow regions effectively removes excessive shadows or darkness in satellite-derived aerial urban images.
