Vascular Complications in Patients with Chronic Pancreatitis

Summary: The study found that approximately 8.4% of patients with chronic pancreatitis developed vascular complications, mainly splanchnic venous thrombosis. Splenic vein thrombosis was the most common, while arterial pseudoaneurysm was less common. Most patients were asymptomatic with no variceal bleeding, possibly explained by well-developed collateral circulation and strict study inclusion criteria.
