All-Dielectric Metasurface-Enabled Multiple Vortex Emissions

Hui Zhang et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the simultaneous generation of coherent laser arrays with different topological charges by combining metalenses with semiconductor microlasers. The microlaser emission is collimated into vortex microlaser beams with different topological charges through a time-reversal process. By introducing off-axis terms, the concept is extended to a 2 x 2 metalens array, producing eight topological charges simultaneously.

Bandpass Filter Integrated Metalens Based on Electromagnetically Induced Transparency

Dongzhi Shan et al.

Summary: This paper presents the design of a bandpass filter integrated metalens based on electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) for long-wavelength infrared (LWIR) imaging. The integration of metalens and EIT metasurface allows for both focusing imaging and filtering functionalities. Simulation results show that the introduction of EIT metasurface does not affect the focusing near the diffraction limit at the target wavelength, and greatly reduces the influence of stray light caused by non-target wavelength incident light. This design method has great potential in the field of LWIR compact optical systems.
