Phase equilibria in the Na2O-WO3 system

Baojun Zhao et al.

Summary: In this study, the phase equilibria and liquidus temperatures in the Na2O-WO3 binary system were experimentally determined. The microstructure and compositions of the phases obtained were analyzed. Several binary compounds were identified and thermodynamic data were provided.

Understanding the role of hydrogen peroxide in sulfuric acid system for leaching low-grade scheelite from the perspective of phase transformation and kinetics

Wenjuan Zhang et al.

Summary: The addition of H2O2 can effectively prevent the formation of the insoluble H2WO4 film, thereby increasing the leaching efficiency of scheelite and improving the recovery rate. Proper temperature rise is favorable for enhancing the leaching efficiency, but may have adverse effects at higher temperatures.

Extraction of tungsten from scheelite using hydrodynamic and acoustic cavitation

Orjan Johansson et al.

Summary: The study aims to investigate the effects of hydrodynamic and acoustic cavitation on the leaching efficiency of tungsten, with the goal of reducing energy consumption, improving recovery rates, and conducting leaching processes at lower temperatures than current industry standards. The research focuses on optimizing reactor structure, excitation frequencies, and orifice geometry to achieve efficient recovery of tungsten. The results demonstrate that energy supplement with acoustic cavitation can significantly increase leaching recovery rates compared to conventional chemical leaching methods.

Experimental Determination of Phase Equilibria in the Na2O-SiO2-WO3 System

Baojun Zhao et al.

Summary: The present study experimentally investigated phase equilibria in the Na2O-SiO2-WO3 system, deriving new thermodynamic information and determining primary phase fields and isotherms. Solubilities of various substances in the system were accurately measured using EPMA, allowing for comparisons with existing phase diagrams and discussions on differences. These phase equilibrium data will benefit future development in sustainable tungsten industries and thermodynamic modelling in WO3 related systems.
