Photocatalytic Activity of TiO2-Doped Fe, Ag, and Ni with N under Visible Light Irradiation

Byung-Geon Park

Summary: In this study, TiO2 photocatalysts doped with metal ions and nitrogen were prepared using a sol-gel method. The N/Ni/TiO2 showed the highest photocatalytic activity and sterilization efficiency among the samples tested, due to its extended light absorption region and high optical intensity.

Interfacial facet engineering on the Schottky barrier between plasmonic Au and TiO2 in boosting the photocatalytic CO2 reduction under ultraviolet and visible light irradiation

An Wang et al.

Summary: The rational design of metal/semiconductor interfaces is crucial for improving photocatalytic activities, as it enhances electron migration and carrier separation. By forming the Au/TiO2(101) interface, more efficient electron transfer and hot electron injection were achieved, leading to enhanced CO and CH4 production.

Adsorption of CO molecules on anatase TiO2(001) loaded with noble metals M (M = Ir/Pd/Pt): A study from DFT calculations

Zhengguang Shi et al.

Summary: The study investigates the effect of noble metal atoms doping on the structure and electronic behavior of anatase TiO2(001) surface, as well as the adsorption behavior of CO on the surface. Results show different tendencies of different metal atoms adsorption, with Pd being the most stable. The adsorption energy of CO on the surface depends on the type and location of the metal atoms.
