Flow of a Viscous Incompressible Fluid from a Moving Point Source

Sergey Ershkov et al.

Summary: This study investigates the flow of a viscous, incompressible fluid outflowing from a uniformly moving point source. An exact solution is obtained by considering the inverse relationship between velocity and radial coordinate. The study shows that the source carries away a spherical volume of fluid, with the radius inversely proportional to the velocity. In the wake region behind the body, a cylindrical discontinuity occurs, with dimensions determined by external pressure and independent of the source velocity. The obtained solutions are controlled by hydrodynamical fields that can be recognized as special invariants in symmetry reduction.

A comparative study for fractional simulations of Casson nanofluid flow with sinusoidal and slipping boundary conditions via a fractional approach

Ali Raza et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the mixed and free convective Casson nanofluid on an oscillating inclined poured plate with sinusoidal heat transfers and slip boundaries. The governing equations are derived using Atangana-Baleanu (AB) and Caputo-Fabrizio (CF) fractional operators, and the semi-analytical solutions for the momentum and thermal profiles are obtained using Laplace transformation. The influences of various parameters on the governing equations are discussed through graphical comparisons of the Nusselt number and skin friction. The results show that the AB-fractional model yields more significant momentum and energy profiles compared to the CF-fractional model, and water-based titanium dioxide (TiO2) has a more progressive impact on the momentum and thermal fields compared to copper (Cu) and aluminum oxide (Al2O3) nanoparticles.
