Four-family N=1 supersymmetric Pati-Salam models from intersecting D6-branes

Tianjun Li et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the construction of four-family N = 1 supersymmetric Pati-Salam models from Type IIA T-6/Z(2) x Z(2) orientifold with intersecting D6-branes. Utilizing a deterministic algorithm, we obtain various models with distinct gauge coupling relations at the string scale, some of which exhibit gauge coupling unification. These models provide potential opportunities for studying supersymmetry breaking and moduli stabilization.

Breeding Realistic D-Brane Models

Gregory J. Loges et al.

Summary: Intersecting branes provide a useful mechanism for constructing particle physics models with desirable characteristics. Machine learning techniques can efficiently generate consistent and phenomenologically interesting models. This work demonstrates the construction of numerous consistent intersecting D-brane models using a genetic algorithm, with a significant portion containing the desired Standard Model gauge group factor.

Finiteness and the swampland

Yuta Hamada et al.

Summary: This paper explores certain swampland criteria from the perspective of the finiteness of black hole entropy and suggests that these criteria may fundamentally result from the finiteness of quantum gravity amplitudes.

Taming the landscape of effective theories

Thomas W. Grimm

Summary: We introduce a generalized notion of finiteness and propose a Tameness Conjecture for effective theories coupled to quantum gravity. We provide evidence for this conjecture by studying various effective theories arising from string theory compactifications using recent advances in tame geometry. The finiteness of self-dual flux vacua in F-theory is discussed as the strongest evidence for the Tameness Conjecture.

The final model building for the supersymmetric Pati-Salam models from intersecting D6-branes

Weikun He et al.

Summary: This study presents the construction of three-family N=1 supersymmetric Pati-Salam models using intersecting D6-branes and demonstrates that string scale gauge coupling unification can be achieved by introducing vector-like particles from the N=2 sector.

Machine learning Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces

David S. Berman et al.

Summary: We revisit a classic database of weighted-P(4)s and discover a linear dependence of topological data on weights. Additionally, we identify previously unnoticed clustering patterns in the Calabi-Yau data. Supervised techniques allow accurate prediction of topological parameters, and partitioning based on clustering behavior helps identify weighted-P(4)s with Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces.

Machine learning string standard models

Rehan Deen et al.

Summary: The study shows that for string compactifications, relatively small neural networks can distinguish consistent line bundle models with correct gauge group and chiral asymmetry. The same distinction can be achieved in unsupervised learning using an autoencoder. However, learning non-topological properties, such as the number of Higgs multiplets, requires larger networks and feature-enhanced datasets.
